Episode Two.Five

Ravi and Sonia mark the "true" one year anniversary of DriveTime and ponder, "What if you had an anniversary special, and nobody came?" They give an update on the mouse situation (or the cat situation) before welcoming their first ever one named guest: Chlorine, host of the western-themed, art-influenced game show, Art Show Down.

She spells it all out (sans four-letter words) and even brings a clip.

Before it's all done, Ravi and Sonia announce an international venture.

I'm having problems with the feed for DriveTime -- *no* episodes are listed in iTunes (!!!) and FireAnt can't see to pick it up.

I've tried pinging and resynching the feedburner feed.

Any subscribers out there who did receive the latest episode? Or is this some sort of Friday the 13th bad juju?

Ravi and Sonia,

Congratulations on One Year of DriveTime. As a podcaster currently on my own hiatus, I understand the amount of effort that goes into podcasting. I've been watching your show Almost since the beginning, and have enjoyed every episode. Enjoy your time in Italy. It's well deserved.

Chlorine was scary...

Cheers,

I got the latest episode in iTunes yesterday, so no worries there, apparently.

Have a great time in Italy. Those are my peeps!! No advice on hand gestures, unfortunately.

Congrats on the whole year thingy. I've been watching since feburary I think.

I love the show and look forward to the special with all the awesome guest stars... are there gonna be gues stars? Maybe sing duets with Donny Osmond and Carol Burnett or something? That would be cool....

Anyways... have fun in Italy. I hear its a cool place with lots of old stuff and things...they don't speak english good though so you might have to use alot of sign language and talk really slowly so they understand ya.

Alrighty then... take cares..

hotel coffee -- enjoy your hiatus! Chlorine's not so scary once you warm up to her. Thanks for the well wishes.

joe c -- appreciate the iTunes "field report". We'll give a non-offending hand gesture to your peeps.

ricky -- duets... interesting!

grend -- alright, you've forced me to pull out my phrase book! ;-)

Happy Anniversary yo. Been into your show for a hot minute. Very entertaining. Originally from Boston but have been transplanted in Fort Lauderdale Floirda since 97. Get to missin New England, beantown specially, and you guys really help fill that void. Maybe as opposed to nixing the scruff, how bout a tightly nit, closely shaved goatee. Just a thought. Sonia, got to be the illest hostess.

And was Chlorine for real? Was that a mullette a wig? Was that her personality or does she stay in character?

kame -- a wig?! Are you suggesting some sort of artifice in DriveTime? Next you'll say that we're driving in front of a blue-screen! ;-)

I haven't had a chance to watch this till today. Happy Anniversary! I will send you guys a testimonial. I need to draw one up. ;)

Chlorine didn't hit me as an "authentic" country girl. I'm from the South... I think she's a Yank disguised as a Southerner. O_o

Anyhow... great show as always. :D

A bluescreen backdrop, is this one of those confessions that were meant to sound perposterouse, so that after we hear it we all walk away chuckling to ourselves "a bluescreen, heh". Well, that would mean that you have an excellent sound person immitating the oudoors around you, and you choreograph the "Bad Drivers" and "Near Accidents" very well. The guests do always seem a step or two behind you 2 whenever an "accident" happens.

That's it, I've done it. I've unravled the biggest podcast mystery since... well, since podcasts exhisted. Before I dip, I cannot download Episodes 10, 17 & 19. Anyway tha I can get at these lost episodes?

Thanks for the thoughts/comments during our "European Hiatus". kamethroo -- "lost episodes" are due to my silliness in linking and then archive.org shuffling servers, blah blah blah. I'll go through and "reattach" those missing episodes.

We'll be back rolling again in one of our studios (I admit Studio-A is ailing) soon.
